CATARACT CARE · AVENTURA, FL
Cloudy or dim vision, glare from headlights and faded colors are classic signs of cataracts. Dr. Bollar examines the lens of your eye, grades the cataract, and tells you honestly whether it's time for surgery or whether a new prescription will do for now.

Cause of blurry vision as we age
Before and after surgery care close to home
Cataract visits usually billed to medical insurance
Caring for Aventura families since
Cataracts develop slowly, so changes are easy to miss. If any of these sound familiar, book an evaluation.
Everything looks slightly foggy, as if through a dirty window, and cleaning your glasses doesn't help.
Headlights and streetlights starburst or halo, making night driving harder.
Colors look washed out or yellowed compared with how you remember them.
You need brighter light to read, or struggle in dim restaurants.
Your glasses stop working well sooner than they used to.
Seeing a ghost image in one eye can be an early cataract sign.
WHY IT MATTERS
Not every cataract needs surgery right away. In the early stages a stronger prescription and anti-glare lenses can keep you seeing well. When your cataract starts to affect driving, reading or daily life, we refer you to a trusted cataract surgeon and look after your pre- and post-operative visits here in Aventura.

STEP BY STEP
From the first evaluation to your new glasses after surgery, with the same optometrist throughout.
Vision and glare testing, refraction, and a slit-lamp and retinal exam to grade the cataract and rule out other problems.
If surgery isn't needed yet, we update your prescription and recheck yearly. If it is, we explain your options.
We refer you to a trusted cataract surgeon and send your records ahead so nothing is repeated.
Post-op check-ups here in Aventura, then a final prescription for any glasses you still need.
Cataract evaluations and follow-ups are medical visits and are usually billed to your medical insurance. Without insurance, a medical eye visit is $150. We check your coverage before you come in.

Excellent experience from start to finish! I had my eye exam here and purchased two pairs of glasses. The entire process was quick and easy, and the store is beautiful and very welcoming. Everyone who helped me was extremely friendly, professional, and attentive. A special thank you to Beth, who went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. Highly recommended! It is a true pleasure to write this 5 star review because I had an exceptional experience from beginning to end. Dr. Bollar and Amor (Technician) were a delight to deal with. Dr. Bollar was very patient, listened carefully, and took her time to understand my lengthy vision history. She took a deep interest in my situation and kept tweaking my prescription until we both felt it was as perfect as possible. I could tell that she really strives for perfection as well as her patient's satisfaction. After the exam, both Dr. Bollar and Amor helped me select a frame that was ideal for my face. They have an excellent selection of frames and I found one that I am really looking forward to wearing. At no time during my visit did I feel rushed or pressured, and I found their prices to be very reasonable. The entire experience was first-class and I highly recommend their services. Thank you Doctor and Amor! I am very happy to be your patient and customer, and I will definitely refer my friends and family to you.Posted on Google![]()

Style site provides excellent services with a smile. They are genuine and will go above and beyond to help clients. I feel confident with Dr. Phillips, Dr. Boller, and other personnel at Style Site. They know their jobs or profession and are very good at it. I trust their judgment when it comes to eye wear. I sincerely thank them for all they do!
What patients ask us most about cataracts. If your question isn't here, call (305) 727-3937.
We test your vision and glare sensitivity, update your prescription, and examine the lens and retina with a slit lamp and retinal imaging. You'll leave knowing how advanced the cataract is and what we recommend.
In the early stages, a stronger prescription, anti-glare coatings and better lighting can keep you seeing well. Surgery is the only permanent fix, and we recommend it when the cataract starts limiting your daily life.
No. Surgery is done by an ophthalmologist. We handle the evaluation, refer you to a trusted local surgeon, and provide your follow-up care and glasses afterwards.
Usually, yes — through your medical insurance, since it's a medical visit. Call us with your plan details and we'll confirm.
If you have glare, dim or cloudy vision, faded colors or frequent prescription changes — or if you're over 60 and haven't had an exam in the last year.
Many people still need glasses for some tasks, often reading. We check your eyes after healing and fit the right lenses.
