Dr. Teresita Bollar

Optometrist & Owner

Since 2009, Dr. Teresita Bollar, O.D., has been a dedicated advocate for eye health in the Miami-Dade community. As the owner and lead optometrist of Style Site Optical, she brings a unique vision to the practice — one where state-of-the-art medical care meets a boutique, fashion-forward experience.

Her journey began at Florida International University, followed by her Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University. Since 2009, she has evaluated thousands of patients, refining a philosophy that treats every individual like family.

I am extremely passionate about helping patients see the world more clearly — both literally and figuratively. At Style Site, we don’t just prescribe lenses; we enhance your quality of life.

Dr. Heather Phillips

Optometrist

A Dayton, Ohio native, Dr. Heather Phillips earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from The Ohio State University before completing her Doctor of Optometry degree at Nova Southeastern University.

With 24 years in the field and more than two decades at Style Site Optical — where she has been a fixture since 2004 — she brings a rare combination of clinical depth and familiarity to every exam. Many of the patients she sees today are the children and grandchildren of patients she met in her first years here.

The best part of this job is the moment someone puts on the right pair of glasses and their whole face changes.

Emily Diaz

Optometric Technician

Emily graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and is currently preparing to apply to optometry school. She is spending this chapter of her career gaining hands-on clinical experience at Style Site Optical, working alongside our doctors and staff to learn the field from the inside out.

Her goal is to practice as an optometrist herself — and in the meantime, patients benefit from the same care and attention she plans to build a career on.

Every patient who walks through the door is teaching me something — I get to learn while I help.

Clinical & Specialized Care

At what age should my child have their first eye exam?

Dr. Bollar is experienced in pediatric care and welcomes children as young as 5 years old. Early exams are critical for identifying vision issues that can affect learning and development.

I have “hard-to-fit” eyes. Can Dr. Bollar help with contacts?

Absolutely. Dr. Bollar specializes in specialty contact lens fittings, including multifocal lenses and solutions for patients with astigmatism or dry eye who have struggled with contacts in the past.

Do you handle eye emergencies?

Yes. If you are experiencing sudden vision loss, redness, pain, or “flashes and floaters,” please call us immediately. Dr. Bollar provides urgent medical eye care for infections and injuries.

Your Visit

What should I bring to my appointment?

To make your check-in seamless, please bring:

  • A valid photo ID and your current insurance card.
  • Your current eyeglasses and/or contact lens boxes.
  • A list of any medications you are currently taking.

A comprehensive exam usually takes about 30 to 45 minutes. This allows Dr. Bollar to perform a thorough health assessment and a precise refraction for your prescription without feeling rushed.

Do you speak Spanish?

Yes! Dr. Bollar and our staff are fluent in both English and Spanish to better serve our diverse Aventura community. (Hablamos Español.)
