Walk in or call ahead

Come straight in during opening hours. If you’d rather not wait at all, call (305) 404-5996 and we’ll tell you the next open slot — often within the hour.

Quick check-in

Photo ID and your insurance card, if you have one. We verify your benefits on the spot so you know your cost before the exam starts.

Your exam

About 30–45 minutes with the optometrist: vision, prescription, eye pressure, and a look at the health of your eyes.

Glasses or contacts the same visit

Choose frames with an optician right after, or leave with trial contact lenses. Most single-vision glasses are ready in a few days.

Walk-in wait times are usually short, but they depend on how busy we are. Calling ahead is the fastest way in.

Plenty of eye doctors near Aventura are weekday-only. We’re open Saturday 9 am to 2 pm with the same optometrist, the same full exam and the same walk-in policy — so you can get your eyes checked, pick frames and use your insurance without taking a day off.

We accept VSP, EyeMed, Davis Vision, Spectera/UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Oscar, Humana and Florida Medicaid, and we file the claim for you. FSA and HSA cards welcome.

Are you open right now?

Our hours are Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm and Saturday 9 am to 2 pm, closed Sunday. The banner at the top of this page shows live whether we’re open at this moment. If we’re closed, book online and we’ll see you first thing.

Can I get an eye exam without an appointment?

Yes. Walk in during opening hours and we’ll fit you in — we keep room in the schedule every day for walk-ins and same-day patients. Calling (305) 404-5996 before you come is the fastest way in, because we can tell you the next open slot.

How long will I have to wait as a walk-in?

Usually a short wait, sometimes none at all. It depends on how busy the day is; mornings and early afternoons tend to move fastest. If you’re on a tight schedule, call ahead and we’ll give you a realistic time.

Do you do eye exams on Saturday?

Yes — Saturday 9 am to 2 pm, with the same optometrist and the same complete exam as a weekday. Saturdays are popular, so calling ahead helps.

Can I be seen today for an eye emergency?

Yes. Red or painful eyes, an injury, something stuck in the eye, sudden blurry vision or a shower of new floaters should be looked at the same day — come straight in or call us. Outside our hours, go to the nearest emergency room.

How much is a walk-in eye exam?

$140 for a comprehensive exam, $240 for a contact lens exam and $150 for an urgent medical visit if you don’t have insurance. With a vision plan, most patients pay only a copay — we check your benefits before the exam starts.

Do I need to bring anything?

A photo ID, your insurance card if you have one, and your current glasses or contact lens boxes. That’s it — no forms to fill out in advance.

Can I get glasses the same day?

You can choose your frames and place the order the same visit. Single-vision lenses are usually ready in a few business days; progressives and specialty lenses take a little longer. If you’ve broken your only pair, bring it in — we can often repair it while you wait.

Do you take walk-ins for repairs and adjustments too?

Yes, any time we’re open. Most adjustments, screw replacements and nose pads are done while you wait, on glasses from any store.
